Mobilization AND "The Nightmare"

Mobilization. Upon hearing the term people's eye glaze over and they wonder what are you talking about. Let me explain...

Mobilization comes from a military context whereby leadership gets people and supplies ready for war. In the spiritual world we join God in a war to redeem His lost creation, people.

"The battlefield is a global one,
but individuals are are the prize"

Monique was a young women whose life was quickly evaporating. Managing marriage issues with her children quickly becoming at risk confronted her daily. Her future seemed to be decided for her. She was beginning to sink to a level of survival resigning herself to a life of struggles and hopelessness.

When I hear this over and over again people just going through life waiting for the end and just when you think its finally over and somehow your mythical god will intervene and allow you some sense of new life you wake up and discover even that last remaining dream was a mirage imposed on you by the great deceiver, Satan.

Those of us with the Hope know all this could have been avoided if someone went and told these people about the love of Christ and helped them find a church that would disciple them in the faith.

It's my nightmare. Visiting many places and seeing the many Moniques. These images can haunt you.

Can I go? Yes, but God has uniquely equipped Cathy and I to send hundreds, even thousands, we help coach, mentor, and develop strategy that advance people and organizations to reach many people like Monique. But we want more...

Romans 10:13 makes a bold statement; "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Everyone? Was this hope for everyone? But how can that happen? The text goes on to explain...

"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?"

Now finally what is core to this war... Mobilization! Verse 15 states; "And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

So, for some they go, for some they pray, others will send, and still others like Cathy and I will coach, mentor, train, guide, encourage, strategize, and care for those who do go... i.e. the Mobilizer.

This is what we do. For us, we go to bed at night hearing the news of wars, death, destruction, and wonder if those affected have heard. We see the world broken, lost, "like sheep without a shepherd," and wonder who will go and how can I help them.

Here is one such family's story. One family out of the many God allowed Cathy and I to help get to a very spiritual dark place.

All of us have a part to play. What is yours?
